Safaricom Kenya, Exxon Mobil, MTN, others beat The SERAS CSR Awards 2016 entry deadline
The Organizers of The Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (The SERAS- CSR Awards) have announced a list of sixty-four organizations that beat the July 29thdeadline for entry submission.
Additional submissions came from DHL, Sahara Energy, GTbank, Shell, Chevron, MTN, Stanbic IBTC, Friesland Campina, United Bank for Africa, Total, Samsung, NestOil group, Lafarge, Etisalat, Lapo Microfinance, BATN, Multichoice Africa and Keystone bank amongst others.
The awards, which is in its 10th year and only recently opened the platform to receive entries from across Africa, also recorded entries from organizations in East & Southern Africa such as Safaricom and Investec. However, due to request from a lot organizations in Nigeria and other parts of Africa for an extension of the deadline to enable more organizations participate, the organizers have decided to extend the deadline to August 10th, 2016 for entries from Nigeria and August 19th, 2016 for entries from other parts of Africa. The SERAS organizing committee also announced RedFlag South Africa and Prospectus Capital Kenya as organizing partners for the 2016 edition of the awards which has become Africa biggest and most credible platform for promotion of the sustainable development goals, innovation, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and excellence in business leadership.

Prospectus Capital serves the East African region and is a research driven project management and business consulting company providing niche strategic business solutions through various media platforms. The company led by Faith Tindi has championed adoption of CSR and sustainability amongst businesses in Kenya.
The awards ceremony holds on November 5th, 2016 at Lagos Nigeria.
