LG chief lauds Amosun’s agricultural policy

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has installed Oba Lukman Jayeola Agunbiade, as new Alagbara of Agbara, who ascended the throne of his fore fathers following the overwhelming support of his ruling house and the entire Yewa Traditional Council in the state.

Amosun, while performing the installation and presentation Staff of Office to the monarch, stated that the installation was in order, timely and second of such in the Yewa Traditional Council in less than two weeks, promised to give the monarch and his subjects sense of belonging in order to continue enjoying development in the area.

The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko enjoined people and residents of agbara community to give the monarch the needed support and cooperation required to move the area forward as it was one of the fastest economic growing areas in the State.

“All hands must be on deck to pave way for continual and speedy development of this area, we all known that Government alone cannot meet all the needs of the people, hence the need to embrace the spirit of communal efforts” Amosun remarked.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Lukman Jayeola Agunbiade Olute III, expressed his gratitude to the State Governor, members of his cabinet, the Agbara Kingmakers, the ruling house as well as members of the Community, noting that his ascension to the throne was divine and pledged to serve the community to the best of his knowledge.

He implored all sons and daughters of agbara to come together and make the community greater, adding that the time has come to provide the needed peace and tranquility that would pave way for the enabling environment needed for industrial and socio-economic developments to thrive.

Oba Lukman Jayeola, a Chartered Accountant and a Lawyer as well as a qualified member of many professional bodies both at national and international levels, lectures both graduate and undergraduate students on part time basis in some tertiary institutions and hails from the Olute ruling house.
