Ighalo breaks EPL goal drought, as Watford stun West Ham
Odion Ighalo on Saturday finally ended his English Premier League goal drought as he fired past Adrian to score the opening goal for Watford in their 4-2 win at West Ham United.
Having returned from international duty, the 27-year-old launched a comeback for his side at the Olympic Stadium, and also set up Jose Holebas for the fourth goal as the Hornets cruised to their first away triumph of the season.
Ighalo’s last goal came on May 5, 2016, with his strike at Norwich City unable to prevent them from losing 4-2 at Carrow Road.
Watford’s victory against the Hammers take them to the 10th position on the log with four points. They host Manchester United in their next outing on September 18.
