APC’ll form next government in Ondo, says Akeredolu
The governorship candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, RotimiAkeredolu SAN, has declared that the party would formed the next government in the state.
Akeredolu, who made the declaration on Monday when he addressed journalists at the party’s secretariat in Akure said that he is going to give the state a new facelift if emerged the next governor.
He added that the APC is also prepared to win convincingly the November 26th governorship election in order to take power from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
“We can assure the people of Ondo state that the All Progressives Congress will form the next government in this state.
“We will run and walk and talk to everybody in this state on the need for us to have a change of government, our own major concern is about the people of Ondo state”.
The APC governorship candidate said that the focus of his government if elected into power shall be about how to empower the people especially the downtrodden in the state.
“We have said it over and over that our romance is going to be with Ondo state people and no other person.
“It is our belief that we can afford, with what God has blessed us with, we can change the life of our people in Ondo state and I think the time has come.
“I know they are waiting for us, and I prayed for them to keep the hope alive. Whatever distraction we have now, I assure them we can overcome and we will get to the promise land.” he said.
Akeredolu who was also the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2012 governorship election explained that he has no grouse with the party’s National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, the dust raised by the party’s primary election is gone adding that the opposition APC would emerge victorious in the forthcoming poll.
He further enjoined all other aggrieved aspirants of the party who had kicked against his emergence as the party’s candidate to support him in the gubernatorial race.
