Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa saved the day for Leicester City
Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa, scored his second Premier League goal in as many games as his Leicester City side drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Musa, who scored his maiden Leicester goal last weekend in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, equalised for the champions two minutes after the restart with a brave effort.
Claudio Ranieri rewarded Musa with a start after an excellent show against Palace and the former CSKA Moscow man was lively in the Leicester City attack alongside Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy.
Tottenham went into the lead at the stroke of half time via a spot-kick that was converted by Vincent Janssen.
Leicester equalised just two minutes into the second half from their first shot on target through Ahmed Musa who also picked up a yellow card in the 62nd minute for a barge on England international Dele Alli.
The Nigerian was substituted in the 67th minute of the game for Jeffrey Schlupp after he could not shake off a knock he sustained after poking the ball past Hugo Lloris in goal for Tottenham.
Musa is expected to be one of the players to be called up for Nigeria’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying match scheduled for next month.
