Your regime is worst, Balarabe Musa tells Buhari
Days after former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s attack on President Muhammadu Buhari, the second Republic Governor of old Kaduna state, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has described President Buhari’s regime as the worst in the nation’s political history.
Alhaji Musa gave the verdict on the regime of Buhari in an exclusive interview with our reporter at his residence in Kaduna.
The former Governor, who was a one-time national leader of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), equally submitted that Nigeria has since 1999 till date not been practicing democracy.
Instead, the chieftain of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) pointed out that what the nation has been practicing is a democratic rule, which he described as slightly better than a military regime.
In his words: “This regime is the worst in the political history of Nigeria. I repeat: it is the worst. Nothing is working. Nigerians are going through a lot of pains, a lot of hardships and a lot of suffering.
“To get one square meal daily is almost becoming impossible. The level of unemployment is unprecedentedly high”, he stated.
Asked of his assessment of the nation’s democracy so far, Musa fired back, “which democracy? Do we have democracy? There is nothing to assess because there is no democracy in Nigeria. How do you assess something that is not in existence?
“We don’t have democracy in Nigeria. What we have had since 1999 up till date is civilian rule and not democracy”, he said.
