Ishaku urges new Taraba NEPAD coordinator to revive agency

Group lauds Ishaku's developmental stride in Taraba, wants more intervention in education

Taraba governor, Darius Ishaku on Monday charged his newly sworn in Special Adviser and State Coordinator of New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), Hon. Dennis Orkuma Nev to work hard to reposition the parastatal in the state.

Ishaku who gave the charge shortly after he sworn in Hon. Nev and inaugurated members of the boards of Taraba Television, Taraba Broadcasting Service and Judiciary promised to work with Nev to achieve meaningful result.

“I have no doubt that you will succeed because given your past records I have absolute confidence that you will deliver and that is why I appointed you to coordinate the office for me.

“I want to assure you that you will not work alone, I will personally work with you so that together we will reposition the office and bring development to the state in line with my administration’s vision to rescue the state and bring development,” he said.

The governor also charged the newly inaugurated members of boards and parastatals to key into his rescue mission and do their best in their various endevours so that the rescue agenda will be felt in all spheres of the state.

Addressing journalist shortly after taking oath of office, Hon. D.O. Nev thanked Ishaku for having so much confidence in him and prayed God to give him the wisdom to succeed in his new assignment.

On what he will do reposition NEPAD in Taraba, Hon. Nev, a retired Permanent Secretary Taraba Government House Administration said though he believe he will not lack what to do, he will study the office and come out with strategies on how to run the office.

He appeal to journalists and people of the state to support him in his new office to succeed even as he called for support towards the administration of governor Ishaku who he said has meant well for the people of the state.
