Total Nigeria again wins solar grant award

In 2015, Total Nigeria Plc was the recipient of a solar grant awarded by the Solar Nigeria Programme an initiative of the UK’s Department for International Development.

Total Nigeria has been able to deliver exceptionally on Awango by Total’s main objective which is to make an economic, social and environmental impact by offering clean, cutting-edge energy solutions of the highest quality.

Through the financial support of Solar Nigeria and in partnership with Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF), the Awango Reseller’s Club (ARC) was established and helped in the quest to light up a million lives.

ARC program has been set up in four locations in Nigeria since March 2016 with over 120 ARC members trained, recruited and empowered in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos and Yola.

As a result of this achievement, Total Nigeria has been awarded another grant by the Solar Nigeria Programme. With the help of more NGOs and Foundations, the Awango Resellers Club would be planted in more Northern states.

Ultimately, our aim is that ARC becomes a platform that empowers more lives to be financially independent and provides sustainable lightning solutions that make a positive difference in the society at large.
