A cleric has advised Nigerians to demonstrate the love of God as it is the basis for living right.
Pastor Michael Jonah of Redeemed Christian Church of God said this in his Christmas message on Sunday in Masaka, Nasarawa State.
Jonah said the show of love across board could get the country out of recession if Christians followed God’s divine instructions.
He added that “for now, recession is biting hard on everybody but I know that by the grace of God and through love, He will lead us out of the present state.
“My advice to politicians is to remain faithful, remain focused and live a righteous life.
“It is time our leaders exhibit the love of God, change from the life of deception to move the nation forward.”
Deacon Simeon Odey called on Nigerians to always pray for the peace of God to reign in the geographical space called Nigeria.
Odey, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after Church service, said he was optimistic that Nigeria would soon come out of the current state of economic recession.
“Nigerians have been going through stress in 2016 but we trust God that as we get to 2017, which is our year of Jubilee, Nigeria will get out of troubles.
“We also trust that the almighty God will touch the hearts of our politicians as they begin to love God with their hearts.”
A member of the congregation, Mr Paul Onogwu, also urged Christians to always live by example by living a godly life.
Onogwu also appealed to Christians nationwide to pray for the nation`s elevation in all fields of human endeavours.
