21 students benefit from AGG foundation scholarship

Varsity dismisses lecturer for altering results

Anofi & Grace Guobadia Foundation (AGG Foundation) has awarded scholarship to 21 students from participating institutions in Nigeria.

A statement signed by Communication Officer of the Foundation, Oyewale Oyelola said the recipients of the scholarship comprises indigent female students from higher institutions across the country, including eight students in Vocational Training Centre of Nigeria School For the Blind, Oshodi, Lagos.

According to him, “Anofi & Grace Guobadia Foundation started in 2006 with two objectives; To award scholarship to female indigent students and Dig borehole to deserving communities to give them access to quality water supply. So far, the Foundation has awarded scholarship to 203 brilliant female indigent students nationwide.

“This year scholarship award cost the foundation about two million naira and we are planning to increase the number of beneficiaries annually.”

He commended A.G. Leventis Foundation, Murli T. Chellaram Foundation and other individual donors for supporting the foundation financially in the past.

“We urge corporate organizations and individuals to support us to achieve objectives of the foundation.” Oyewale added.
