APC reconstitutes new caretaker committee for its Gombe chapter
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has re-constituted a four-member caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the Gombe State chapter.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
The statement said that the decision followed the expiration of the Gombe State Caretaker Working Committee.
“The NWC of the party, in the exercise of its powers under Article 13.4 (xvi and xvii), has reconstituted a four-member caretaker committee to fill the vacancies,’’ he said.
According to him, Idi Gubana would serve as the chairman, with Alhaji Sani Haruna as deputy, while Bello Maigari is secretary.
The statement indicated that Mr Bichi Obadia would serve as Legal Adviser.
“The caretaker team will function for an initial three months, commencing from February 17, 2017, unless otherwise terminated by the party`s NWC,” the statement said, adding that the period was renewable.
It added that the committee would be formally inaugurated on Feb. 20, 2017 at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
