Nestle shares lift NSE index to 0.73% higher

Nestle Nigeria Plc shares had a major leap northward on Friday, lifting the All Shares Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to 0.73 percent positive.

The stocks opened the day at N570 which was the price it has traded all week, it however gained momentum and closed with N58.42 higher at N628.42 representing 10 percent growth.

Mobil Nigeria shares grew by N5 and 1.79 percent having moved from N280 it opened the day with to N285, while Forte Oil  gained N2.51 representing 5.09 percent to close at N51.87.

Betaglass Plc added N1.91 to end the day at N40.18 meaning 4.99 percentage increase. Okomu Oil gained 1.46 percent having added 70 kobo to close the day at N48.70.

Meanwhile, 7up Bottling Company led the declining chart with N5 loss to end the day with N95 and 5 percent negative growth. Custodian and Allied Plc followed with a loss of 16 kobo and 4.69 percentage decrease as it closed the day with N3.25

Nigerian Breweries closed the day with N128.90. It lost 10 kobo and 0.08 percent, while Guaranty Trust Bank also lost 10 kobo representing 0.4 percent having started the day with N24.90.

The All Shares Index stood at N25,012.80 after trading 274.17 million shares valued at N3.39 billion in 2,856 deals on the day. Market capitalisation stood at N8.65 trillion at close of business on Friday.
