Italian fugitive caught in Mexico thanks to Facebook selfies

A fugitive Italian drug dealer was captured in a Mexican resort after posting photos of himself living the good life on Facebook, police said Thursday.

The sun-tanned 35-year-old posted selfies while lying on a beach and working out in a gym in the tourist town of Playa del Carmen, on the Caribbean Sea.

The Sardinian native, who fled May 2016, has been brought back to Italy to serve a five-year sentence for drug trafficking.
