Youths under the auspices of Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) have congratulated the Governor of Kebbi State, Sen. Atiku Abubakar Bagudu who bagged both ‘Vanguard Personality of The Year’ and ‘Leadership Person of The Year’ awards.
In a congratulatory message signed by its National Vice President 1, Gambo Abubakar Mohammed, the group described Bagudu as a youth-friendly Governor, a pathfinder and a true descendant of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the late Sardauna of Sokoto.
According to them, “these awards are indeed a testament of the sacrifices, good governance and diligent service delivery to the good people of Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole by the amiable governor.”
NYCN also applauded Bagudu for heeding the clarion call on diversification and agricultural revolution in the North.
“These honours have renewed our trust in your leadership capabilities and our choice to honour you at our forthcoming Agric Youth Summit slated for 4th April 2017 is not in error.
These awards have endeared you the more to our hearts, as we seek your mentorship in order to become self-reliant by shifting our focus to agriculture.” The group noted.
Meanwhile, the NYCN also used the avenue to commiserate with the Government and people of Kebbi State over the untimely death of some marketers from the state who died in a ghastly motor accident recently. They equally prayed for God to grant the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
