Nancy Bocskor, world acclaimed fund raising expert to speak at Lagos conference of Political Consultants
A United States-based world acclaimed fund raising expert, Nancy Bocskor, is set to speak at the second conference of the African Political Consultants Conference scheduled to hold between April 11 to 14th, 2017.
The conference, organized by the Association of Political Consultants-Africa (APC- Africa), aims to sensitise those who have been in the business of political consultancy towards the need for regulations of their practice and enhancement of value chains in the practice.
The APC-Africa, takes its root from the International Association of Political Consultants IAPC, which was formed in 1968.
The conference, with the theme: “Democracy and Political Consultancy,” would witness the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, leading professionals drawn from different parts of Africa, America, Asia and Europe to x-ray the vital place of political consultancy in Africa’s democratic practice and culture.
A statement by the Chairman, Local Organizing Committee of the APCA 2017 Conference, Semiu Okanlawon, described Bocskor as an internationally renowned expert in applied democracy, and will be speaking alongside, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Kipng’eno Kirui, from Kenya, William Akoto from Ghana; Ousainou Darboe, Diane-Monique Adjanon from Republic of Benin, Prof. Sakinath Bello, Dr. Cheikh Omar Diallo (Senegal), Ucha Ndukwe and Dele Alake from Nigeria.
Others are Job Okello (Uganda), Tunji Awonusi (Nigeria), Simon LaFrance (Canada), Sunday Dare (Nigeria), Jonathan Misoi (Kenya), Ben Eisenberg Savvypol (USA), among others.
Bocskor, a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio is a trainer and consultant whose client list includes citizen activists and organizations in the U.S. and abroad. She has taught people how to achieve success in public service in all 50 states and more than 20 countries.
She has participated in speaking at universities, organizations and conferences, which include, CIPE’s “Democracy that Delivers for Women” Conference ICAN Omaha 2011, Global Leader Conference AAUW 2011, National Convention, The Leadership Institute The Western North Carolina Advocacy Conference The Black baud Conference for Non profits The North Carolina “Keys to Sustainability” Conference Program for Excellence in Municipal Management Veteran’s Campaign Workshop.
Nancy has been an invited speaker for four consecutive years at the International Young Political Leaders Conference in Lake Seliger, Russia. More than 1,000 students representing 50 countries attend this conference annually. In the summer of 2011, Nancy was a visiting professor at the Moscow School of Humanitarian Studies where she lectured on political leadership.
For the past two years she has spoken at the American University in Cairo to 80 Egyptian leaders representing the spectrum of political interests vying for a role in that country’s emerging democracy.
She is the President of the Nancy Bocskor Company, founded in 1991.
