Ondo needs committed professionals to assist in governance- Akeredolu
Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Sunday said there was need for committed professionals to assist in the development of the state.
Akeredolu said this in an interview with our reporter after a thanksgiving service to commemorate Mr Femi Agagu’s 60th birthday.
The service for the celebrator, a younger brother of the former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Agagu, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Mercy land parish, Lagos Island.
The governor said the state was in dire need of professionals like the younger Agagu who would be able to assist the state due to the experience garnered over the years.
“He knows a lot about government operations, particularly when he served as Chief of Staff to late Dr Agagu.
“Femi is a thorough -bred Ondo State son who has an interest in the development of the state.
“We need him now at the state level and we plead with him to at least put his experience at the disposal of the government,” he said.
In his message entitled, ‘God will make a way,’’ Assistant General Overseer of RCCG in charge of Evangelism, Pastor Johnson Kalejaiye, said God would make a way during times of trouble.
“Nothing is too much for God to do; with Him all things are possible. It means that your tomorrows will be better and not bitter,” he said.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Deputy Governor of the state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, widow of the late Dr Olusegun Agagu, Funke, and Sen. Tayo Alasoadura representing Ondo Central Senatorial District.
