APC warns members against inflammatory statements
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe, on Thursday warned members against unguarded utterances capable of causing disaffection between executive and legislative arms of government.
The party in a statement in Damaturu, by its Publicity Secretary on in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Daushe, said that the warning became necessary following reports alleging gang-up of the Senate against the Presidency.
It said that such reports, though purported to have emanated from a member of the APC, were in bad taste as the party would never contemplate such insinuation.
“The party notes with concern that when concerted efforts were made to build unity, understanding and cordial relationship between the executive and legislature, the report is casting aspersions to create more disaffection.”
It advised the public and the National Secretariat of APC to be wary of “Abuja-based political job-seekers whose intent is to hijack benefits meant for Yobe”.
The party advised people aspiring for membership to register at their ward levels “which is the official entry point for them to be officially recognized”.
It restated that the party’s supremacy remained sacrosanct and must be respected and preserved by members.
