Renowned experts in the international luxury industry have been confirmed to speak at the maiden edition of The Luxury Lifestyle Summit, the organisers have announced.
With the theme: Digital Inside: Get Wired to Deliver the Ultimate Luxury Experience, the luxury conference and exhibition is scheduled to hold between 6 and 7 September 2017 at the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Confirmed as the lead speaker, Paul Andrew, Founder and Chief Responsibility Officer, African Wealth Report, a research and intelligence publication of Blackface Africa, will spearhead the array of other notable speakers to interrogate key issues affecting the growth and development of the Nigerian luxury industry.
With over two decades of global investments and wealth advisory experiences, Andrew who is based in Geneva, Switzerland, brings an exceptional knowledge of African and global luxury practice to The Luxury Lifestyle Summit in Lagos.
According to Andrew: “To many luxury service providers in Europe accessing Nigeria is still an issue. It’s all about infrastructure and perception. But we can narrow it down to perception. That’s where the investment promotion agency, and communication ministry comes in.”
According to him, there is affordable luxury that the Nigerian market attracts. “It’s a huge market and goes with the growth of the middle class. The way around to go is educate Nigerians about this part and how to develop its internal luxury environment. This can help change the narrative from external perception to internal. It’s got to do with how we promote and drive it from internal rather than from external. Internal could be to drive competition and standards- from the production of locally produced quality goods and services; to providing quality tourism management and spots.”
In addition, Daniel Weihrauch, CEO of Lions&Gazelles and RAIN’s group consulting partner for Middle East and Africa, will be speaking at the summit. The German born global traveller, will bring his wealth of experience in the luxury hospitality industry to the summit.
