My new safety application receiving favourable response, says South Africa-based Nigerian

Mr Fidelis Igbokwe, a Nigerian Information and Communication Technology expert, says a safety and security application he developed, TRRPN, is receiving favourable response in South Africa.

Igbokwe, the Chief Executive Officer of TRRPN, told our reporter in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Tuesday that more than 1000 download of the application had been recorded.

“TRRPN is a travel and tourism platform that enables countries, cities and governments to boost their foreign direct investment through travel and tourism.

“Through TRPPN, we keep presence and visibility to places of interest in any city in any part of the world.

“It gets travellers and tourists to know the city before they arrive,” he said.

Igbokwe said the safety and security features of the application had also been successfully implemented.

“At the moment, we have over 1000 download of the application by people testing it.

“We will have our formal launch soon, but even before that, we are in the process of going into a platform that has more than two million subscribers,” he said.

According to him, an American-based group, New Africa Project, used the platform to reach more than 200 million members in the Diaspora.

“The plan and objective of the group include to enhance development in Africa and encourage blacks who are descendants of slaves and resident in other countries to contribute stipends for development of the continent.

“They used TRPPN for this project and it worked”, he said.

Igbokwe also said his firm would like to partner with the Federal Government to use the platform to enhance safety, security, travel and tourism.

“Travel and tourism sector alone is the biggest employer and we can use TRRPN platform to boost it.

“We are willing to partner government in this regard,” he said.
