AMAC boss urges increased prayer for Buhari, condemns hate speech

The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Mr Abdullahi Candido, has urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for the quick recovery of President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The Chairman of the council gave the advice on Thursday in an interview with the journalists in Abuja.

He condemned those making negative comments about the health of the president, describing their action as unpatriotic.

The chairman also called on the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to shun hate speech for the unity, peace and development of the territory and the nation at large.

He said that the council had established an outfit, called AMAC Marshal Complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense (NSCDC) to ensure safety of life and property.

“We have posted our AMAC Marshals to various communities in the territory and I believe they are doing all they can to maintain peace in AMAC’’.

On the agitation for Biafra, he said, “As far as I am concerned, the larger per cent of the citizens of Abuja is not praying for any separation.’’
