Wizkid, Damian Marley set for music 'collabo'

Nigerian music youngster, Wizkid has revealed that he is working to create a song with Damian Marley, son of late Jamaican legend Bob Marley.

The ‘Starboy’ disclosed this on Thursday via his Twitter handle-@wizkidayo, and shared a photo of himself seated with the Jamaican artist.

He wrote: “Talked about working with this man. Today we dey here! Legend! To the world my friend.”

The move is expected to further boost wizkid fast-rising profile of ‘collabo’ with international artistes in recent times.

In 2016, he was featured by popular Canadian rapper Drake Graham in the song ‘One Dance’.

Other of his ‘collabos’ include ‘Like This’ – Dj Henry ft Wizkid , ‘Shabba’ – Wizkid ft Chris Brown,‘Mamacita’ – Tinnie Tempah ft Wizkid.

The ‘Ojuelegbe’ crooner had ‘sold out stadiums’ all over Africa and Europe during his recent world tour and featured on several international magazines, including Vogue.

His contribution to the Nigerian Music Industry has earned him several accolades.

In 2016, he won the ‘African Artiste of the Year’ at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in South Africa and at the maiden edition of the Soundcity MVP Awards respectively.

He has also won two BET Award, three Billboard Music Award, two Heart Radio Music Awards and one MTV Europe Music Awards, among others.

As at June 2017, Wizkid has reportedly received a total of 44 awards from 157 nominations.
