Terry G backs #NotTooYoungToRun campaign, declares real intention

Nigeria’s sensational hip-hop artist, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, also known by stage name, Terry G, has added his voice to much-advertized idea about the youths of not being too young to run, #NotTooYoungToRun in his campaign poster.

This in a statement made available to NEWSVERGE on Saturday, the ‘Akpako Master’ cleared that his support for the campaign not mean he has any political ambition.

He said, “Before you begin to get my message wrong, let me tell you that the ‘Akpako Master’ has no particular political intention, but just trying to use the idea to ginger the youths towards productivity in their various endeavours in life.

“My intention is basically to encourage youths and support the course of not too young to run for a political office.

“Although, my attention has been drawn to a misinterpretation of my ‘legalized ginjah.’

“I merely used the cliché to instil in them to amplify the notion and promised them on the need for the masses by legalizing good road, good water, stable power supply, and other social needs that would make our Nigeria better.”

The Akpokpo Master, however, believed that if the idea is supported by all and carried out, “everything will be fair and legalized”. He concluded.
