Late Muhammed-Gadi demonstrated superb administrative acumen – Tinubu
All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Sen. Bola Tinubu, has described the late Alhaji Garba Muhammed-Gadi, a former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, as a man who had superb administrative acumen and political sagacity.
In a condolence message on Wednesday in Lagos, Tinubu also said the late Muhammed-Gadi was an energetic politician.
The former deputy governor died on Aug.1, at an Indian hospital. He served as deputy to former Governor Isa Yuguda from 2007 to 2011.
Tinubu said the late politician clearly demonstrated his administrative acumen when he served as the National Chairman, Merger Committee, which supervised the fusing of the ACN with CPC and other political forces to form the All Progressives Congress (APC).
”I was deeply saddened when I learnt of the passing of former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Garba Muhammed-Gadi. He was very passionate about Bauchi State and the development of the state.
”He reportedly did wonderfully well when he served as Deputy Governor under the administration of Governor Isa Yuguda from 2007 to 2011.
”I recall vividly how we worked closely together when he was the National Chairman, Merger Committee, which supervised the fusing of the ACN with CPC and other political forces to form the All Progressives Congress (APC).
”Alhaji Muhammed-Gadi, Danburan Katagum, handled that national assignment creditably.
”Since then, his belief in and commitment to the baby, the APC he partly midwifed, has never been in doubt. Whether at the state or at the national level, he worked assiduously for the success of our party,” he said.
Tinubu commiserated with Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, the people of the state and the family of the deceased.
”My heart goes out to members of his immediate family, his political associates and the good people of Bauchi State whom Alhaji Muhammed-Gadi devoted his life to.
”My prayer is that our prayers help to comfort them all at this moment. May God also grant the soul of our friend and brother eternal rest,” he said.
