Hajj: 6,051 Kaduna State pilgrims return – Official
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Wednesday said a total of 6,051 Pilgrims have so far returned home since it commenced transportation back to the country.
The board’s Public Relation Officer, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi, disclosed this in a telephone interview with our reporter.
Abdullahi said the 14th batch of 314 pilgrims arrived the Kaduna International Airport at 3:41 a.m. on Wednesday via Med-view Airline.
He added that “the pilgrims who arrived with their luggage, received five litres of Zamzam water each.”
He said transportation of the pilgrims was expected to be completed between Wednesday and Thursday in two flights.
“Med-view Airline has been selected to transport 2,776 Kaduna State pilgrims back home,” he added.
He explained that Max Airline, had, however, transported back the 3,937 pilgrims allotted to it.
According to Abdullahi, the remaining pilgrims are on their way home from Makkah en-route Jeddah.
It was reported that a total of 6,713 pilgrims performed Hajj from Kaduna State this year.
