The Lagos State University (LASU), has dispelled the rumour of a publication of its purportedly released cut-off marks for different courses and departments for the ongoing 2017/2018 admission exercise on the social media.

Mr Adekoya Martins, the Acting Head, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations (CIPPR), told our reporter on Thursday that the said publication was not from the information arm of the university.

Martins described the purported publication as “misleading” and warned the public to disregard it.

He disclosed that the university’s official cut-off mark for candidates to apply for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening had been put at 190.

“The public should kindly disregard the misleading publication and always check the university’s dedicated social media platforms for genuine and valid information about the institution,’’ he said.
