Former Iraqi President Talabani’s body arrives in Kurdistan

Former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, has died in a hospital in Germany, Iraqiya state television reported on Tuesday.

Talabani had been hospitalised several times in recent years ever since he suffered a stroke in 2012.

He was the seventh president of Iraq and the second after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, Iraqiya added.

Talabani was also Iraq’s first Kurdish president.
