Tambuwal restates commitment to secure govt. establishments
Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Wednesday, restated the commitment of his administration to ensure the security of all government-owned establishments in the state.
Tambuwal gave the commitment while inaugurating Chairmen and members of various boards and commissions in the state.
He said that the present administration in the state would no longer allow people to continue to run government establishments as personal property.
“We will continue to take all necessary measures and action to ensure that our own establishments are fully secured and prevented for the overall development of the people, ‘’he said.
Tambuwal also said that one of the cardinal objectives of his administration was inclusiveness.
According to him, the inauguration of chairmen and members of the various boards and commissions is in line with the objective.
“We, indeed, have the conviction that they will work selflessly to ensure the consolidation of our successes in various needs of human endeavour,” he said.
The governor described members of the boards and commissions as ‘’personalities with reputable characters and experience of service.’’
“I have no doubt that the selected appointees are all aware of the enormity of challenges we are in now.
“In fact, the appointment is in full recognition of their experience, dedication and selfless service to Sokoto state in particular and the nation at large.”
Tambuwal assured that the state government would give all the necessary assistance to enable the appointees discharge their responsibilities.
He, however, called on them to reciprocate the confidence government reposed on them by working for the satisfaction of the people and in the interest of the state.
Mr Inuwa Abdulkadir, as Chairman Sokoto State University Commission, Alhaji Ahmad Barade as Chairman Pension board and Abubakar Danlawal Chairman local government pension board were inaugurated.
Others are; Alhaji Bello Danchadi, Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Abubakar Maishanu, Chairman, Primary Health Care Development Board and Fatima Dange, Chairman Sokoto State Judicial Tribunal Board, among others.
