Caleb varsity best graduating student, Elizabeth, applauds bank’s job offer
Miss Elizabeth Nejo, the 2017 best graduating student at Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State, who was offered a one-year renewable employment by a bank, has hailed the gesture.
The 22-year-old, while appreciating the bank for the offer, said she intended to proceed on further studies.
“I am still young. What I want to do now is to keep striking the iron that is still hot; by this I mean I want to proceed for further studies, “she said.
Our correspondent reports that the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) had offered Nejo automatic employment.
Nejo of the Department of Mass Communication made first class with a Commutative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of 4. 85.
She also expressed appreciation to the proprietor of the university, Mr Oladega Adebogun and her parents for believing in her and offering her scholarship.
Nejo also thanked a philanthropist, Mr Tom Ogboi, who also visited the university and gave her full scholarship.
Mr Ladi Balogun, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the bank, told our correspondent that the employment which would be for one year, was renewable if the graduate performed well.
Balogun said in the event that the fresh graduate did not not want to take up a career in banking, FCMB would still support her in her any field of her choice and also ensure that she was not denied employment.
