Akeredolu calls on civil servants to have attitudinal change
Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Thursday, called on the state’s civil servants to have attitudinal change to ensure infrastructure development and effective service delivery.
Akeredolu made the call in Akure while swearing in 15 new Permanent Secretaries and Tutor-General into the state public service.
He said it was through such development that the set objectives of his administration, for quality service delivery would be realised.
Akeredolu, however, assured the workers of his administration’s commitment to their welfare.
“We are not unaware of the critical role of the civil servants in the discharge of the promises of our mandate.
“Our commitment to the welfare of all those who serve our people are irrevocable,’’ he said.
The governor urged the new permanent secretaries to be committed and transparent in the discharge of their duties.
He warned that any public servant found wanting in the discharge of hos or her duty would be sanctioned in accordance with the set regulations and laws of the state.
Speaking on behalf of the permanent secretaries, Mr Isaac orimoloye, thanked Akeredolu for counting them worthy to be appointed to the post.
He assured the governor of their commitments to efficient service delivery toward ensuring the success of his administration and in the interest of the people of the state.
