2019: The Profiles of Ogun governorship aspirants
Ahead of Ogun 2019, these are the names and profiles of Ogun State gubernatorial aspirants aspiring to take Oke-Mosan job come May 29, 2019:
(1). Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade (TripleA). He is currently a member of the House of Representatives. He is from Ogun West (APC).
(2). Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI). He is from Ogun West. He has contested for the office twice. (PDP).
(3) Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole. A former Speaker of the House of Representatives. He is from Ogun Central. (ADP).
(4). Mr Bimbo Ashiru. He is currently the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and industries in Ogun State. He is from Ogun East. (APC).
(5). Senator Solomon Olamilekan (Yayi). He is currently representing Lagos West senatorial District in the Nigeria Senate. He is from Ogun West. (APC).
(6). Hon. Isiaq Abiodun Akinlade. He is a former three times member of the House of Representatives. Also from the West he has decamped from the PDP into the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) to brighten his chance. He is currently the S.A to the deputy Speaker, House of Representatives. (APC)
(7). Mr Kolawole Lawal Moboriowo (KLM). He is currently the Honorable Commissioner for Forestry in Ogun State. He is from the West (APC).
(8). Prince Segun Seriki. He is a smooth talker and experienced Politician. He is from the East. (PDP).
(9). Mr Jimi Lawal. He is currently a consultant to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Gov. El Rufai. He is from the East. (APC).
(10). Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi. He is currently the right Honourable Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly. He is from Ogun West. (APC).
(11). Senator Lekan Mustapha. Former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP). He is from the East. (APC).
(12). Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu (Lado). He is currently a member of the Nigeria House of Representatives. He is from Ogun East. He is the son of Chief Kessington Adebutu popularly known as Baba Ijebu. (PDP).
(13). Otunba Rotimi Paseda. He contested the 2015 elections. He is from Ogun East. (UPN).
(14). Mrs Ronke Sokefun. She is currently the only female in the race and she is presently a commissioner in Governor Amosun’s cabinet. She is from Ogun West (APC).
(15). Chief Tolu Odebiyi. He is currently the Chief of Staff to Governor Amosun. He is from Ogun West. (APC).
(16). Senator Buruji Kasamu. He is currently the Senator representing Ogun East in the Nigeria Senate. He is from the East. (PDP).
