Leadway Pensure MD now PenOp President
The Pension Operators (PenOp) of Nigeria on Friday announced that it had elected Mrs Aderonke Adedeji, the Managing Director, Leadway Pensure, its new President.
A statement signed by the Executive Secretary of PenOp, Mrs Susan Oranye, said that Adedeji was elected at the operators’ Sixth Annual General Meeting in Lagos.
“Adedeji was elected to take up the leadership mantle from Mr Femi Longe.
“Mr Akeeb Akinola, the Managing Director of Shell Custodian and Pension Fund Administrator (CPFA), was elected Vice President.
“Mr Wale Odutola, Managing Director, ARM Pensions, was elected Head, Branding Committee, and Dr Hamza Sule Bokki, Managing Director of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Pension, became Head, Legal and Regulatory Committee, among others,” it said.
The statement noted that Adedeji became the first female president of PenOp.
“This is the first time PenOp will have a female as its president; we are proud and confident of her especially in driving the growth of the country’s pension, and in light of the recent focus on gender issues globally.
“We have great confidence that the new executive will carry on with the excellent work done by the past executive of PenOp,” it said.
