June 12: Obasanjo, IBB absent at MKO investiture

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and ex-military president Ibrahim Babangida were conspicuously absent at the conferment of national honours on the presumed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, and others.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, informed the gathering that the two ex-presidents both expressed regrets for their individual absence.
