Tush Awards offers One Million naira business grant to young entrepreneurs
As part of the lined up activities to celebrate the decade edition of the annual Tush Awards, the organizers will be staging a youth conferenceon August 31st, 2018 at the Landmark Event Center in Lagos ahead of the10th year celebration of the event in December.
According to Project Director, Mr Oyedayo Oyeniran, the conference with theme “Youths in Business: Fund, Run and Grow your business and Ideas” will also be offering a sum of one million naira as business grant to young entrepreneurs.
Oyeniran said that, one of the important reasons for staging this conference is provide anavenue for the youths in business to interact with the key players in thebusiness world and also learn several ways to access funds to grow theirbusinesses even in the face of peculiar situations. Basically, it is an eventorganized as a bridge to the knowledge gap for youths that are in businesson how to grow, fund and run their businesses, he said.
Some of the confirmed panelists who would also form Board of Judges forthe SME Pitch Competition which seeks to give a One Million Naira BusinessGrant to deserving entrepreneurs are Mr. Steve Babaeko, CEO, X3M IdeasGroup; Mrs. Kemi Aina, Group Head, Customer Service Management, WemaBank; Mrs. Ezinne Okoroafor, Group Head, SME Banking, Sterling Bank; Mr.Gbenga Aiyeremi, The CEO, Workbay Co-Space Nigeria; Mr.Ikechukwu Kalu, Head, Consumer Market, Insights and Analytics, Eco bank; Mr.Goodness Morakinyo, Founder, Valencia College, Ibadan, among others yetto be fully confirmed.
The SME Business Pitch Competition which is presently ongoing onInstagram will end by August 25th, 2018 and to participate is quite very easy. Oyeniran further explained that , Interested participants should follow the Instagram handle of TushAwards, @TushAwards and upload a minute video stating why they need thegrant with the approved hashtags, #TushAwards2018 and#AYTASMEPitch.
Tush Awards will repost all videos with the approvedhashtags and will select the top 20 most valuable business ideas, Oyeniran explained.
