Ogun APC governorship primary election in progress

The party members across all the 236wards in Ogun State have trooped out in their thousands to participate in the gubernatorial primary election holding today as directed by the Mr Ibanawa led Electoral Committee set up by the National Working Committee of APC to conduct primary elections in Ogun State.

Despite the use of armed thugs by the Amosun led government in connivance with the State Police to intimidate, maim and disperse the party faithfuls from carrying out their constitutional duties of of electing the gubernatorial flagbearer as directed by the National Working Committee of the party.

The State government also used the State owned media misinform the public and party members by asking them to boycott the direct primary but it is amazing to see the members of APC defying such an unpatriotic order from the government.They mobilised enmass and ensure maximum participation in the exercise.

However, it is disheartening to see the Police who are constitutionally saddled to protect lives and properties of the citizens giving full support to these armed thugs to cause havoc by chasing the party members with guns, cutlass and charm.Some of the party members were macheted and others having various degree of injuries.
