Helicopter crash: Osinbajo thanks Nigerians

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria Vice President, has thanked Nigerians home and abroad for outpouring of support shown to him after his official helicopter crash-landed at the Kabba Township Stadium, in Kogi State on Saturday.

Prof. Osinbajo on his twitter handle said, “We are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well.

“We believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher.

“We continue #NextLevelEngagements in Kabba, Kogi State.”

Earlier on Saturday, the Nigerian Air Force helicopter conveying the Vice President crash-landed in Kogi State.

But Professor Osinbajo and all members of the crew came out of the crashed chopper unhurt, after which he continued his engagement in the state.

The crash was said to have occurred when the propeller of the helicopter suddenly pulled out at the stadium.
