Atiku promises to respect rule of law, guarantee security

Atiku wins 6 of 8 LGs declared in Plateau

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has assured Benue residents that he would ensure adequate security of lives and property, if elected Nigeria’s President.

Atiku gave the assurance on Friday, during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential Rally in Makurdi.

“Every human endeavour needs security to flourish; I will make security a priority and remain focused until everyone is secured,” he said.

He promised to defend and implement all laws made by the three tiers of government.

”Once the laws are not protected, insecurity will be on the rise. Vote for Gov. Samuel Ortom and other PDP candidates so that we can work together to give you the desired security.

”You know that I always stand for the rule of law and I will not deviate from that if I am elected the president,” he said.

He also promised to create enabling environment for the youths to succeed in all ventures dear to them.

”I always stand for the interest of the youths. I will give them the opportunity to succeed us by running a transitional government. I will create an enabling environment that will generate employment for the youths.

”I will also develop agriculture in such a way that processing industries will be established to add value to it,” he said.

On his part, former Senate President, David Mark, urged the people to vote overwhelmingly for Atiku to enable him provide the needed protection to them.

Also speaking, former Benue Governor, Dr Gabriel Suswam, assured Atiku that his election and that of other PDP candidates was “a done deal”.

”In Benue, the election matter is signed, sealed and concluded. So, go and campaign elsewhere because in this state, you have won already,” he stated.
