Buhari approves completion of abandoned bridge, police training school in A’Ibom – Enang

Buhari surpasses other presidents on assent to bills - Enang

Sen. Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, on Monday said the president has approved the completion of the abandoned bridge project at Okopedi, in Itu Local Government Area.

Enang disclosed this while addressing the people of Okopedi, in Itu on why they should vote massively for President Muhammadu Buhari in the upcoming presidential election.

He said the Federal Government has also awarded a power generating station to an indigenous contractor who would soon be mobilised to site at Ididep in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.

He noted that the power station would cover Ibiono Ibom, Itu and Ini Local Government Areas of the state as well as Arochukwu in Abia.

“The Presidential flag bearer of the party, has approved a tripartite projects; completion of abandoned bridge project at Okopedi Itu, a 40x60x233 MVA power station at Ididep in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.

‘’The president has also approved the building of a Police Area Command with a Training School at Akpayat in Itu Local Government Area.

“The contract time has elapsed but President Buhari has reversed everything under the leadership of the Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola, and his team had been here,” he said.

He explained that the project for the construction of the bridge was awarded to Messrs Buletine (Nig) Ltd, between 2011 and 2014, saying that the same contractor would execute the abandoned project.

Enang explained further that the bridge when completed would enhance economic activities of the area as well as transportation to other parts of the country.

He, however, urged the people of the state to vote massively for the president and all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
