Reality Star Alex Unusual gets ‘new whip’ from fans

Reality star, Alex Asogwa aka Alex Unusual was full of emotions when she got a surprised gift, a brand new Toyota Venza, from her fans to mark her 23rd birthday.

The multi-talented model and red carpet host who turned 23 on Feb. 15, with 1.4 million followers on Instagram and 18.8k followers on Twitter, wept profusely at the party venue in Lagos where she was tricked into by her fans known as #Team Alex.

Some of her fans and celebrities including Swanky Jerry, Adesua Etomi, Alex Ekubbo, Yomi Casual, Efetommyoflife, Ngozi Nwosu, Toke Makinwa, Ufuoma McDermott, Don Jazzy, Kaffy Dance among others, took to their social media platforms to congratulate her on her special day.

She wrote, “Thank you everyone on this journey with me. Thank you for His grace. I overwhelmed and speechless. All I can say for now I thank you and thank God.”

“Never have I seen or heard of this type of love. May grace follow you all. May you never lack. I’m typing this in tears because I’m too happy!! I’m blessed!!!!!” Alex said.

Prior to her birthday fans took to Twitter to share the things they loved about her under the tag #DearAlex which was the top Nigerian trend for almost two days.

The messages appreciated her growth since the BBNaija show.

Alex Unusual, 2nd runner up from the Big Brother Naija Season (2) Double Wahala, kept fans and viewers glued to their Television sets across Africa with her `Shaku-Shaku’ dance moves and her signature green hair every Saturday from Jan. 28 to April 22, 2018.

It was reported that following her stint on the BBNaija season 2 `Double Wahala’ show, Alex was signed by Naomad agency run by Naomi Adenuga who described her as full of depth and authenticity.

She has a retinue of brand endorsements that addresses youth and women issues.

Alex has a partnership with TheEyedoctorsNG to provide free eye treatments to less privileged children.

She is also leading a health campaign on safe sex practices for young people as part of her ambassadorial duties for ‘My Paddi’.

It was also reported that Alex is building a niche as an event host, with several high profile events to her credit including the “Merry Men Movie’’ premiere and popular Buckwyld and Breathless show.

She is the new celebrity ambassador for skincare brand L’Avyanna skin, natural and organic skin care line focused on addressing the different skin care needs of both men and women with different skin types.
