Governance is not about violence, says Fela Durotoye
The presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mr Fela Durotoye, on Saturday said that governance should not be about promoting violence.
Durotoye disclosed this to our reorter at the polling unit in Victoria Garden City where he and the Vice- President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo also voted.
Durotoye advised the people not be deceived by politicians.
He said that he was not defeated as his party was a major political party to watch out for in future.
“Don’t let politicians deceive you, governance is not about violence. Some of us want to serve this country for the love we have for Nigeria.
“Politics should not bring us division, we all want a better Nigeria and that is why we clamour for a change in governance.
“ANN is a major political party to look out for in the future.’’
He said that he had decided not to join the so called big political parties as their values were not in line with his.
“Before I begin to change them, they will have changed me. My advice is that we stay connected; vote people who have values and ready to put in their best.
“Nation building is a continuous process and that is what we are doing.
“I will serve Nigeria better by raising leaders who are smart and take the best decisions at the Local Government level.
“We have 8,810 ward councillors and 774 local governments in the country. Our mission is to capture 500 ward councillors and 500 local governments out of them.
“Our mission is to make people see politics differently and raise the next quality leaders.” he said.
