NAYA partners California Congressional Black Caucus delegation to bring investments to Nigeria
The Canada-based Nigerian Association for Young Adults of Canada (NAYA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the California Congressional Black Caucus delegation and the International Association of African American Ambassadors to the Continent of Africa and the Middle East to facilitate investment opportunities to Nigeria in an effort to complement the federal government’s initiatives on foreign investment and national development.
Representing NAYA at the signing of the partnership agreement in Los Angeles, California is the president of NAYA Canada, Mr. Shola Agboola and the organization’s representatives from United States, Mr. Michael Adegoke and Daniel Akeni. The NAYA delegates met with the president of the California Congressional Black Caucus delegation and the CEO of the International Black Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Dr. Zyra McCloud.
Ambassador Dr. McCloud said that they were attracted to NAYA because of the tremendous humanitarian work the organization is doing across Nigeria. Dr. McCloud who is also the CEO of the International Association of African American Ambassadors to the continent of Africa and the Middle East said that her organization is ready to partner with such a resourceful and serious minded organization like NAYA to help facilitate meaningful investments from United States to Nigeria in order to help the country’s efforts in job creation, youth empowerment and national developments.
Mr. Agboola expressed optimism about the partnership saying that the invitation by such an highly prestigious organization in the United States of America is a testimony that NAYA has made a name for itself through its significant contributions to the development of Nigeria to be such recognized.
The energy of the young people as seen in NAYA is what the country needs to rebuild Nigeria and create a better future for the next generation, NAYA is the breath of hope for the country, Dr. McCloud said. NAYA delegates had the opportunity to interact with business and corporate community in California and investors that are interested in Tourism, Economic Development, International Trade, Import/Export, Education, Health and Wellness, Technology and Green energy and many more.
