Akeredolu assures Ondo state citizens of more development projects
Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Tuesday promised to ensure the continuous spread of development projects to all nooks and crannies of the state.
Akeredolu made the promise during a thank you tour to Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo, Odigbo, and Okitipupa Local Government Areas of Ondo South Senatorial District.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won 23 out of 26 seats in the recently concluded State House of Assembly election.
Akeredolu stressed the importance of Odigbo Local Government Area as the hub of industrialisation in the state
He explained that the Local Government housed a number of industries, including a textile factory, paper mill, cassava to ethanol factory, among others, hence the amount of money spent by the administration to develop the area.
“The flyover we are constructing in Ore, Odigbo Local Government is consuming half of what we are spending on infrastructure in the state, this is part of our appreciation to the people of the area,” he said.
The governor also promised to do more for the people of the area, and thanked them for the massive support in the just concluded House of Assembly election.
Earlier, Oba Julius Adetimehin, Jegun of Ile-Oluji Kingdom, and Temidayo Akinsuroju, Chairman, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, appreciated the governor for his leadership style, and his response to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
Also, Oba Michael Adetoye, Jegun of Idepe, thanked the governor for always keeping his promises.
The royal father appealed to the government to employ more youths and equip more schools, among others, as part of solution to the challenges of the area.
Similarly, Ade Adetimehin, Chairman, APC, Ondo State, thanked the people of the area for voting APC, and urged them to continue to support the party and the government.
