NYSC DG urges corps members to respect culture of host communities

Maj.-Gen. Sule Kazaure, the Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has appealed to Edo State Government to complete the permanent site of orientation for corps members.

Kazaure made the call in an interview with our reporter after an inspection of 2019 Batch A NYSC members hostel at Okada Grammar School, Okada on Thursday.

Kazaure stressed the need for NYSC camp to have good facilities in their camps.

“The camp is substandard but we appeal to the state government to look into the issue and completion of the permanent site.

“The environment is not conducive and it is substandard to be frank,” he said.

He congratulated the corps members for their conduct and wished them a blissful service year.

The D-G inspected the quarter guard, female hostels, male hostels, the kitchen and dripping centers.

A total of 1,939 corps members were present at the orientation camp and will be deployed to all local government areas in Edo to serve for their primary assignment.
