NiMet predicts thunderstorms, rains for Friday
Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted prospects of thunderstorms and rains across the country on Friday.
NiMet’s weather outlook on Thursday in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to cloudy atmosphere over northwestern states with prospects of thunderstorms over parts of Maiduguri, Potiskum, Nguru and Dutse in the morning hours.
The agency forecast thunderstorms over the entire Northern states in the afternoon/evening hours.
NiMet envisaged day and night temperatures of the region to be 30 to 31 degree Celcius and 20 to 23 degree Celsius respectively.
“For Central states, thunderstorm/rain is expected over Minna, Bida and Ilorin axis with increased cloudiness over remaining parts of the central states in the morning hours.
“As the day progresses, thunderstorms/rains are expected over the entire region during the afternoon/evening period.
“Day and night temperature values are expected to be 25 to 31degree Celsius and 16 to 23 degree Celsius.
NiMet predicted cloudy conditions with prospect of isolated rains over the entire inland and the coast of Southern states in the morning hours.
It forecast cloudy condition over the region during the afternoon/evening period with day and night temperatures of 27 to 30 degree Celsius and 20 to 23 degree Celsius respectively.
