NCS to establish Training and Doctrine School – CG
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), says it will soon upgrade its Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja to a Training and Doctrine institution.
Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), its Comptroller-General, made this known when he visited the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), of the Nigeria Army on Wednesday in Minna.
Ali said that he was on a fact-finding mission to TRADOC to ease the establishment of the NCS variant in Abuja.
Ali, who was represented by Mr Umar Sanusi, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Human Resources, said that the planned upgrading was part of ongoing reforms being carried out in the service.
He said that the service would continue to collaborate with the authorities of the Nigeria Army in Minna to ensure smooth take off of the school.
The customs official also said that the institution was expected to introduce new courses on the recently signed Africa Continental Free Trade Area agreement to acquaint NCS personnel with its provisions.
“Training our personnel on the policy will smoothen its implementation,” he said.
The Commander, TRADOC, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Tarfa, in a remark, said that the Army was ready to partner with all government agencies in the area of security and effective service delivery.
