Ondo to ensure justice delivery – Akeredolu
Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Monday said his administration would continue to provide an enabling environment for justice to thrive.
Akeredolu said this in Akure at the swearing-in of Justice Aderonke Alade as the new President of the Customary Court of Appeal in the state.
He said that his administration had made a deliberate efforts to build and sustain institutions in all facets of government, including the justice sector.
The governor noted that the Customary Court was created principally to preserve the cherished culture and traditions of the people by resolving disputes in accordance with their customs.
According to him, an onerous duty is placed on the shoulders of the judges and indeed the president to ensure that only true and undiluted justice is served to the people.
Responding, Alade commended the state government for the opportunity given him to serve the people.
She promised to cooperate with other heads of the judiciary in order to move the state forward and ensure that justice was served without fear or favour.
It was reported that Alade replaced Justice Aguda Taiwo who had retired from service.
