US Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, 13-year-old daughter, 7 others killed in helicopter crash

Kobe Bryant, USA basketball great and Los Angeles Lakers legend, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others on Sunday died in helicopter crash near Calabasas, California.

The five-time NBA champion and one of the most prolific scorers in basketball history died at the age of 41.

The retired basketball star and the crew according to report were on their way to basketball practice at Bryant’s Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks, California.

Although, investigators as at the time of filing this report are still trying to determine what caused the crash.

In a report from the Los Angeles Times, “Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act,” Barack Obama tweeted. “To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.”
