India, U.S. to sign defence deals worth more than $3bn – Trump
India and the U.S. will sign defence deals worth more than 3 billion dollars on Tuesday in New Delhi, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday during his two-day state visit.
After arriving in India’s western state of Gujarat on Monday, Trump delivered a speech at the world’s biggest cricket stadium, Motera in the city of Ahmedabad.
Trump also recalled the recent tri-services military exercises that took place between the two sides, held in November 2019.
The U.S. president will travel to Delhi later this evening. En route to the Indian capital, Trump and his wife Melania will also enjoy a glimpse of the world heritage site the Taj Mahal, in India’s northern city of Agra.
