Relocate College for effective service delivery, Assembly tells Gov. Sule
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has asked Gov. Abdullahi Sule to relocate the College of Health, Science and Technology, Keffi, to another site in the town for effective service delivery.
Alhaji Usman Shafa, the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Health, made the plea on Wednesday, when he led members of the committee on an oversight function to the college.
According to him, since the upgrade of the school, there is the need to relocate it to a suitable site to accommodate new courses introduced.
He said that the present location was not good for the institution but applauded the governor for assenting to the bill that upgraded the school.
The chairman said that the assembly would continue to support the institution for effective service delivery.
Earlier, the Sole Administrator of the college Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed, said the school had done well over the years
Mohammed, however, enumerated the challenges facing the college to include inadequate space, vehicles and absent of governing council among others.
He said that the college had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, on assistance for teaching in the school.
