Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, has appealed to party members and supporters to register enmasse in the party’s ongoing registration and revalidation exercise.

“I appeal to all leaders of the party to intensify efforts at mobilising members, followers and supporters from their wards, local government, constituencies as well as state to come out en masse to revalidate or register in the ongoing exercise,” he said.

Adegoke urged them to avail themselves the opportunity provided by the party to exercise their right and enable them reap the dividends of democracy.

He said that the ongoing registration and revalidation would afford the party opportunity to get accurate data as well as capture those just attaining voting age.

“What we crave for is an all embracing exercise and the spirit of oneness for all those willing to join the party in order to continue to reap the dividends of democracy.”

Adegoke said that the overall objective of the membership registration exercise was to grow and strengthen the party from the grassroots.

“This registration and revalidation exercise will afford our party to increase it’s membership.

“Few years back when we did the last registration, some youths had not attained voting age, but this exercise will afford them the opportunity.

“We need to capture them, youths have become adults now. It will afford the party the to get the accurate data that would be useful for analysis during the coming elections,” he said.

The APC chieftain said that an organised party must consciously grow its base with accurate data to win elections.

He said that it was necessary and important for all the party leaders as well as other stakeholders to support the process by mobilizing their people to participate in it.

“We owe the membership registration committee, and of course our national leadership, this solemn duty. Their success is our collective success.

“All politics is local, they say. In this regard, I want to specifically encourage all our leaders and major stakeholders in Oyo state to seize this moment to unite in the best interest of the party and our people.
