FRSC reiterates commitment to reduce crashes

Road accidents in Anambra down by 30% in 6 months – FRSC

Mr Joseph Akinsanya, the new Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ifo, Ogun, has pledged the unit’s commitment to minimise crashes in the area.

Akinsanya made this known in an interview with our reporter on Friday in Ifo, Ogun.

It was reported that the new unit commander, transferred from Imo, assumed duty on Tuesday (March 9) to replace Mr Joshua Ibitimi. who was redeployed to Lagos State.

He said that the unit would improve on its operations and collaborate with other sister agencies to stem road traffic accidents.

“We intend to be public friendly and increase public enlightenment programmes in Ifo and its environs to educate the people on the importance of safety.

“We will also enforce traffic rules and regulations to ensure sanity as well as reduce mishaps on the highways,” he said.
